History as taught has always been so selective. Having this museum and others, openS the door for honest conversations about how this country was created, preserved and prospered. "History should be Honest" is what Jerry Brown is quoted as saying yesterday, when signing a new law that requires the acknowledgement of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender Americans and their contribution to this country. .

Powerful imagery and a good reminder here, Bob. Thank you for posting.

This is American History and unfortunately there are those who will choose to whitewash this by retelling it. You're right in how you clarify the revising and the retelling, it's a fine line that is crafted and used too cleverly by others at times for political gain.

McQueen had this thing about "shapes" that i love. More than just "silhouettes", his clothes are like sculptures. My intention is to get to the Met in time to see it all

Kim Kristoff never attended any Scuola di Bella Arte in Rome, nor did he attend The Chicago Art Institute. He does not have a BA in Art and he never was a Courtroom Illustrator for The Washington Post illustrating anything to do with The Watergate Trial. He did not grow up in Southeast Asia. Green Pioneer - HA! -- Ask him about his $26M bankruptcy, the bankruptcy , mass resignation at and collapse of The Pace Group and his transfer of all assets. Ask Mr. Silver Tongue for proof for anything he ever says.
