Venus and Serena

On Saturday July 4^th 2009, Serena Williams won her 3rd Wimbledon Ladies Singles final (she defeated Venus who has captured the Wimbledon trophy 5 times) and together, Serena and Venus won their 4^th Wimbledon Ladies Doubles titles.

Between the 2 of them, this dynamic duo has won an amazing number of Grand Slam titles – 19 singles, 9 Doubles and 2 Mixed Doubles. These are not easy accomplishments – you might win one, but to pull together all of the mind and body skills you’ve got in order to win power tennis tournaments again and again is awe inspiring – at least to me.

I still don’t think that the Williams sister’s feats of tennis magic are appreciated as much as they could be, so – one more time, I will take time out and say:
