Being in Control

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

I completed this painting quickly. I don’t know where the idea came from and I had trouble coming up with a name for it. I’m guessing that my brain was trying to tell me that I am not in control.

“Easy” becomes a reluctant private investigator in 50’s [...]

Denzel Washington – “American Gangster”

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

Denzel. He is a “single name” person - like Cher, Madonna, Fidel. I must admit I’m supremely biased - I think Mr. Washington is fabulous. Just watch him walk! I saw him Off Broadway in the 80’s in a great piece called the “A Soldier’s Play”, written by Charles Fuller. It was just after [...]

The Holiday Season

Thursday, November 15th, 2007

Every year the “powers that be” dish out a mind boggling assortment of goodies, games and toys for all ages. This year I will add to the excitement with a series of small paintings. Most will be gifts to friends and family, but I think a good idea to give something that you’ve made.
I’ve [...]
