Before pursuing a career as a professional artist, I believed that originality would be rewarded. I still believe that eventually this will be so, but reaching those in the artworld who are seeking what is different is an arduous journey. I for one, a painter, must go as deep as necessary to bring forth what I have not seen before, feeling no real satisfaction rolling a wheel that has already been invented.
